carries over between each play through. It also has an excellent interface that is not nearly as confusing as it sounds it would be. A catch-22 concept, because it’s doomed to be too short to stretch it’s wings to give all the work put in it’s proper payout without forcing superfluous vocabulary. This gives way too many words such limited usage that you’ll be mostly guessing, a fact acknowledged and celebrated by the opening of the game. This also means when you’ve hit your personal bedrock of logic and vocabulary, and inevitably crack open the steam-guides dictionary piggy bank you will find more layers of context

The game IS meant to be played several times to understand the full scope of the story since it has different endings. So don’t feel too stressed to get all the words the first round (since really, you can’t!) The game DOES have some artistic things that decrease its quality. The art is at times a bit wonky, and the bgm loops in a annoying way at times (which drives you insane at times when trying to figure out a word that has been bothering you hahaha) But these things are not at all something I would say takes away majorly from the game to the story; either a pro or a con depending on how you view external information. Honestly very hard game when it comes to the gameplay/solving the puzzle (needed a guide), but unexpectedly beautiful and hard hitting story and especially the endings. Atmosphere/Art – are very heartwarming. That’s the best way to explain it. The whole house along with the character are really cozy and give you a feeling like you’re really living there, also the pixel art is nice. Music – is nothing special, just a looping soundtrack while you’re solving the mystery. The soundtrack that plays with the ending though is very nice. Story – is very short with only a few dialogue lines, but even like that it managed to hit

A word of advice though, enjoyment of this game is going to feel a bit like a roller coaster; at first it’s going to feel like an amazing novelty, but as you go on it’s going to feel a bit tedious trying to figure out what means what, but then as you understand more and more of both words and the story, the enjoyment is going to pick up again, and it’ll repeat right until you get to the beautiful endings (which may require several playthroughs to get). really hard. you feel much more connected to the characters and their life even with so little talking and actual story development. The ending is very beautiful and impacts really hard imo. “It’s a cypher, not a conglang!” Obviously, genius. It shows that in the videos/images in the store page. There’s no universe where a game makes a conglang and provides no translation (the whole premise of this game) while maintaining the attention of unmedicated ADHD gamers long enough to actually enjoy the game/story. A beautiful short story (took me 13h hours to discover everything so not so short when you want to dig deep) made me quite emotional, not gonna lie. The gameplay is very interesting where you discovers a language from context clues and each time you make a discovery it can give new context to the scenes you have already seen. A lot is speculations and uncertainty due to all dialog being initially completely gibberish so you create all kinds of different theories of what is happening. One advice is to avoid spoilers, and only look up hints/guides when really completely, stuck or basically done almost all of it and just want to see what might have been missed.

HOW TO CHANGE THE LANGUAGE OF A ANY GAME
1. Check the in-game settings and see if you can change it there. If not, continue down below. You might have to try and use Google Translate to figure out the in-game menus.
