This game makes me want to give it a try. The physics and controls are very different from THPS so don’t expect to immediately string combos together. The move set and physics seem to be a fairly accurate representation of the real thing, and all the binds make sense. I think it’s unreasonable to complain that it doesn’t control like THPS… a unicycle is a completely different thing than a skateboard. The environmental atmosphere, soundtrack and overall vibe of this game is really great. I definitely recommend checking it out if you like the action sports genre. Just don’t expect your unicycle to control like a skateboard.
Authentic Retro Style and Presentation
Everything looks, sounds and feels authentically retro. The style, presentation, easter eggs, visuals, are perfect. The music feels perfect, it feels very punk and fits the aesthetic of the game perfectly, it’s also just a touch unhinged which I love. There’s also a really appreciable sense of humor going on in the game. As far as the gameplay goes it’s very similar to tony hawk but it’s also doing it’s own thing, stuff like food plants are really fun to pull off in a big combo. I love that grinds are specific to which side you’re on, I have to put a lot more effort than just hitting a single button. It really feels like a fresh unique take on the old “tony hawk” thing which I really like. Watch Dogs 2 Gold Edition
I have some small gripes with the gameplay, sometimes the rail hitboxes feel jank. Rails and jumping off them feel a little inconsistent and bad. Also acceleration/speed feels a little slow which can be frustrating at times. Going backwards (fakie I think?) feels awesome when you pull it off intentionally but disorienting otherwise, I’d love for there to be some sort of revert or something like that. There’s some other small things like that. All my gripes are honestly pretty small and I think with some small gameplay patches it would feel really good. It’s evident the game has a lot of time, passion, care and most evidently love put into it. All the little easter eggs and little secrets and whatnot feel amazing to find.
Embracing the Challenge
There is challenge. Remember the first time you played a THPS game and you were properly bad at the game? This game allowed me to feel that again, with my brain and my hands battling against the muscle memory, fighting me as I struggled to put together a basic combo. There is challenge and with that comes the feeling of overcoming the challenge, which is absolutely awesome. The dev could have made all the controls remappable and/or the same as THPS, and we would all march into the game pretty much experts straight away, and if that’s what you want, let me tell you, that’s not what this game is – that’s not the intended experience – and for me that’s 100% a good thing. Far Cry 6
You know what? I’ll go one step further and say this approach works thematically too! I mean, skateboards and unicycles ARE straight up really different things! Why should it be easy? Aside from challenge and the genuine thrill of overcoming it, this game has a number of qualities that make me feel glad and quite lucky to have found it .. Art style / overall vibe – consistently rad. Community – If you play this game through you will feel a connection to the uni-cycling community. The community is so small, and this project is so charming and heart-on-sleeve, with in-game texts that you receive written by the actual uni-cyclists, that it really achieves something special in this regard.
STREET UNI X A Must-Play for THPS Fans
All the benefits of a tiny production team, with the vision and the love and the creative freedom, but also it feels great once you get the hang of it and I haven’t seen one bug yet. It’s kind of amazing how well the game plays, considering it’s a passion project made by a handful of people. When people really put their money and their time where their mouth is, and summon the motivation to push through and make their dreams a reality like this, to me it’s like, very genuinely inspirational.
If you’re a fan of THPS or other extreme sports games from the 90s/00s then you should definitely pick this up! A nice twist on the extreme sports genre with a spot on aesthetic, fun gameplay & a banging soundtrack! If I had to nitpick I’d say the controls are a little hard to get used to after playing pro skater for so many years BUT this is a different game after all so I just need to adjust to it. Otherwise this is a really neat game that I can’t wait to sink more time into! Five Nights at Freddy’s 4

HOW TO CHANGE THE LANGUAGE OF A ANY GAME
1. Check the in-game settings and see if you can change it there. If not, continue down below. You might have to try and use Google Translate to figure out the in-game menus.
– Steam Games –
2a. Look for an .ini file in the game folder or subfolders. Could be called something like steam_emu.ini, steamconfig.ini, etc., but check all the .ini files. There should be a line for language/nickname that you can edit in notepad. If not, look for a “language” or “account_name” text file that you can edit. (If not in the game folder, try C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ SteamEmu Saves\settings). Save and open the game again.
– GOG Games –
2b. Same steps as Steam games except instead of .ini files, look for .info files
If these steps don’t work, then the files for the language you are looking for might not be included. We only check for English here.
