Even if the core mechanic starts to feel repetitive and boring around the middle of the game (which was about an hour in for me), you can still try to optimize and prepare orders as fast as possible. This game is a perfect mix of cooking sim and a creepy eerie horror atmosphere (like mouthwashing). Initially thought it was only burgers but there’s so much more food to prepare and playing this game makes me hungry. Chill and Relaxing, Game made me hungry. Scares leave a bit to be desired, but overall a solid game. Nice for horror beginners!

The premise of this game is pretty simple and the story quite linear, you could easily speed-run and finish it within 30-40 minutes

(Took me 60 and that was because I took a break in between and tried to immerse myself by restocking the shelves each day). There are also two endless modes, one which completely removes horror aspect for those that enjoy the cooking part which is pretty fun in it’s own merit. It only lost 2 points because I think the story could’ve been a bit longer and had more depth, with different stories overlapping from different customers or varied jumpscares that weren’t just a shadowy figure (ie. have the health inspector bang on the door and physically come in). The other issue that I encountered was that the map didn’t clear after each day, some items you can drop into places which are not reachable and this meant they were just stuck there for the entire playthrough such as a salad that I managed to throw past a customer and it laid in the background whilst getting stinky over the days. The horror aspect of this game is subtle and artistic. ViVi nailed the visuals and the game mechanics are solid. While I have completed the story, I have delved into endless mode. That and relax mode should provide the endless game-play loop that satisfies the cravings that the core game.

This game is an absolute vibe to play. The Story Mode is built greatly, the build up to the end was good, the controls feel responsive and smooth

Kiosk is a lovely little project with some enjoyably weird mechanics and a clever concept. While the horror elements and the storytelling are fairly basic, the cooking is very fun and engaging, with just the right amount of jank to be charming. This is especially impressive considering this is the first game this solo developer has published. The developer has also added a challenge mode and a relaxation mode in addition to the story mode, which are welcome additions which help highlight the game’s true strength, the fun and chaotic cooking. everything feels polished and well thought out. Relax Mode is fun as well because it is such a vibe, play some Lofi beats in the background and the game feels so amazing to play. I recommend this game to people who like a relaxed game that has an atmospheric horror element to it, or people who just want a game where they can turn their brain off and have fun making food. I don’t usually say a game is a 10/10, but this game is absolutely a As for the horror elements, there are a couple of jump scares. They did catch me off guard, but overall, the game has more of a thriller/uncanny vibe, which suits me better.

Relax mode Your job is to prepare and serve the customers coming to the kiosk window. Using your knife to cut ingredients and cook them on the grill that is in the kiosk kitchen. Also they would ask you for a drink so you will give them soda and beer. Sometimes you’ll have to make them a hot coffee on a coffee machine. Carefully listen to the clues that customers give you and find out what happened to the guy that worked here before you The story and characters feature some funny dialogues from time to time, although I wouldn’t say the story is very engaging. The biggest fun comes from the food preparation! As a fan of short experiences and fresh mechanics, I totally recommend the game. You can feel that the developer put a lot of heart into it and did their best. Super well-made game in my opinion. Can be a little buggy at times, with things getting stuck under the table and whatnot, but doesn’t pose a problem. Love the simple story that builds up, as well as learning more about the customers. Actual game play is very straightforward and easy to manage, and the mechanics are easy to learn. Audio and visual designs were great.
