The story is rather linear, there are not many choices you can make to alter events, but I liked the mood set by the fog, the empty streets and creepy notes hinting at past events, it always keeps you on edge. From a visual standpoint, the game boasts exceptional graphics, seamlessly blending a realistic style with the distinctive PSX aesthetic to create a unique visual contrast rarely seen in the gaming industry. The visuals are impressive, with most of the game featuring hyper-realistic graphics that draw you into the unsettling atmosphere. However, there’s a distinct section that shifts to a low-poly style

The story follows Naomi, an aspiring pop star, who travels to a beautiful Japanese village to launch her music career. Instead, she finds herself entangled in the village’s cursed secrets. As the game progresses, both the story and atmosphere grow increasingly intense. adding a unique contrast that enhances the tension and keeps the experience feeling fresh and unpredictable. BrokenLore: Low was a great experience. The game is a walking sim where sometimes you need to solve some easy puzzles and run away from people that want to hurt you. The final scene was crazy. BrokenLore: LOW caught me off guard in a good way. Fog everywhere, narrow alleys, this what you will see when you start play. A slow start for a psychological horror that doesn’t just lean on jumpscares but builds tension. The graphics are a cool mix: sometimes is realistic, other times it will blast you with a retro CRT low-poly vibes.  The audio is good for the most part but sometimes the footsteps are not well syncronized, the ambient sounds makes you paranoid something’s creeping up behind you. It’s not flawless game, but I can say that if you like this type of game you’ll not be disappointed.

Developed in collaboration with a psychologist to ensure care and sensitivity toward the player However, there was a very tense moment, which generated a great contrast between the ULTRA REALISM of the game, and a “PIXELADED” work, which really left me enchanted! Another point, the game had a pointless moment, where it lets you choose, but in the end it ignores your choice, which is what I was left with: The Game is 8/10, it was very well produced, you can see the love of the developer and his desire to make a well-made game, which is really important, is feeling what the artist wants us to convey!

BrokenLore: LOW VILLAGE THEMES

Kirisame Mura is designed to be an enigma in itself, a labyrinth with no exit that symbolizes the cycle of wrong decisions and broken destinies of the protagonist. The game’s structure emphasizes this aspect with an environment that subtly repeats and changes, challenging players to find a way to break the cycle as they delve into the story. the voice acting is good too and I really liked the way the story was told. On the other hand, I’m still really hungry. Too much time is spent going back and forth on the same street, the story hasn’t been explored enough, and the central portion of the game has a nice retro feel, but it really feels empty. We find ourselves running all over the place again without it bringing anything substantial to the game. Even if the game is part of a series and we will perhaps find other pieces of the puzzle in the following games, I am still missing something in this one for it to be really satisfying.
