The use of extra characters makes fights more tactically interesting and the different classes available also vary the gameplay significantly. Well worth playing! The other new mechanic, and the major difference in between FiTS and KiTS, is also the possibility to recruit other characters and fight as a party instead of a solo character. Now this system IS good, HOWEVER, it is also incredibly unweildy and clunky to use. You can’t see your hand clearly as long as you don’t have a character selected, and there is no keybind to switch around who you’re playing, so you have to do this by hand _every time_

You play all your characters on your turn : they all share the same hand, the same Momentum, and the same Combo meter.

But, you do get an additional Momentum by party member, and a MASSIVELY expanded deck and hand when teammates are in play. So, although you do have 3 characters to protect and pay attention to, right off the bat, your ways of dealing with the presented situation are a lot more potent and consistent than in solo play. Your characters also combo with each other, and will get a free attack of opportunity every time you trigger their conditions for it after one of your action. You can also click on the character themself, but the color code sometimes gets in the way too. It’s also surprisingly easy to think you’ve switched characters, only to realize that you popped a buff on the wrong character, or moved the wrong one… And in this game, a blunder like this means you’re eating a lot of ♥♥♥♥ in the next turn. Recruit new characters and assemble your party carefully: Deck synergies and team-up moves will be key to keep your tactical advantage. But remember, always be careful with who you choose and who you reject in your team! Friend or foe, sometimes they are just two sides of the same coin… Overall really decent follow-up to FITS. The refined, yet still pretty minimalistic visual style alongside the medieval flair suit the game well and definitely create an energetic atmosphere to get absorbed in.. locking some of it actually gives people incentives not to just go with their preferred playstyle/composition all of the time and trying to diversify. A worthy successor to one of my favorite time killer games. I can’t wait to sink a couple dozen hours into it. A worthwhile sequel to Fights in Tight Spaces, as long as you manage your expectations. It’s a good party builder roguelike for the people who are into that, but if you’re content with Fights I might think twice before giving this one a try. The base gameplay is basically what you remember from Fights, and there was no need to reinvent the wheel here.

If you’re up for a challenge, climb the Daily Play leaderboard or prove your toughness in the Endless mode. Knight In Tight Spaces provide a fantasy based / comic violence with added Gore and blood effects. Main character is fighting many human-like creatures with a goal of killing them to progress further. It still flows beautifully and is crammed with tactical decisions that I suck at. A lot of the same cards are back, there are a bunch of new ones as well, and overall it’s a solid peer for its predecessor. There’s a couple new mechanics here that inject some much-needed replayability into the game. Fracas

Each hero (except for the Brawler Archetype) can equip weapons and armor that give them abilities. Some weapons might boost your damage against certain types of enemies, some might just give a smaller flat damage increase. Some items add a single use (per game) item into your hand. You can get some passive boosts this way and it’s fun to collect items and lean into your synergies. The party system is also pretty cool. You can recruit other characters (up to a total of three, including you) and control them during battles. They’ll combo-attack nearby enemies when someone else lands a hit and it’s a nice bit of strategy. Each recruit also comes with their own three cards.
