Travel through multiple breathtaking locations filled with scum, villainy and secrets, speak with the locals to uncover mysteries and objectives, and take on the evil Daimur as Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore brings you the best interactive gaming experience since the invention of the CD-ROM! The early steps into the world of optical media were, perhaps, the most awkward period of video games.
The schtick progresses into the gameplay, where the world is broken into explorable, bite-sized stages.
Hand-drawn backgrounds clash against basic collision and flat characters. Enemies warp away with cheesy sound effects. Bits of UI look both ostentatious and unpolished. Arzette’s goal is twofold. She has to find the pieces of the eponymous Jewel of Faramore to defeat Daimur, the big evil. However, darkness is covering the land, so she must also light beacons to push it back and get access to more areas. Beyond that, she also needs to get items that allow her to proceed and become more powerful. Caribbean Legend
This isn’t much different from the earlier CD-i Zelda games, but the difference is that Arzette doesn’t suck. The controls are responsive, and the hit detection favors the player much better. More importantly, movement is much less sluggish. The levels are bigger and more open, which turns out to be a double-edged sword as you find yourself revisiting areas to plumb for secrets and find better gear. If you’re going for 100%, you’re going to be seeing the same level sections repeatedly.
The jokes in Arzette are amusing on their own. The bizarre zooms and extravagant movements certainly add an extra layer of humor.
to its bad puns and subversiveness, but it isn’t just pointing and laughing. It knows how to be funny on its own, which carries it well beyond simple referential humor. It has heart and an affection to those titles. Rather than just poke fun at them, it takes what worked – even if it was unintentional – and expands on it. While it was sometimes harnessed for good rather than evil with games that resembled the period’s normal fair with extra voices and cutscenes. MerFight
others tried to stuff them full of terrible live-action cutscenes and FMV sequences barely resembling gameplay. Arzette and the major cast of characters definitely carve out their own path. It isn’t just a retread of thirty-year-old games, but the way its story and characters are presented there is a clear line between the homage and the original. That being said, do not expect a lengthy experience.

HOW TO CHANGE THE LANGUAGE OF A ANY GAME
1. Check the in-game settings and see if you can change it there. If not, continue down below. You might have to try and use Google Translate to figure out the in-game menus.
– Steam Games –
2a. Look for an .ini file in the game folder or subfolders. Could be called something like steam_emu.ini, steamconfig.ini, etc., but check all the .ini files. There should be a line for language/nickname that you can edit in notepad. If not, look for a “language” or “account_name” text file that you can edit. (If not in the game folder, try C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ SteamEmu Saves\settings). Save and open the game again.
– GOG Games –
2b. Same steps as Steam games except instead of .ini files, look for .info files
If these steps don’t work, then the files for the language you are looking for might not be included. We only check for English here.
