This game puts you in the shoes of Lucy, an enhanced street samurai searching for her lost memories in the dystopian and plague-stricken Sunset City. With action-packed gameplay, fantastic bosses, and a vibrant cyberpunk world, Beyond Sunset offers an exciting experience that sometimes stumbles on level navigation and objective clarity. The game’s story sets the stage for Lucy’s quest to regain her lost memories and become a street samurai in a dangerous, futuristic city. Beyond Sunset excels in delivering fast-paced first-person shooter action with RPG elements.
The gunplay is great, and Lucy’s abilities make her feel like a formidable force in combat.
The large, open, interactive levels filled with yakuza, zombies, robots, and bosses provide a variety of challenges to overcome. Upgrading and customizing weapons are a feature in game. The dash and slide maneuvers add a layer of depth to the combat system, allowing players to outmaneuver their adversaries in creative ways. While Beyond Sunset offers exciting gameplay, it suffers from occasional issues with level navigation and objective clarity. Some levels can be challenging to navigate, and players might find it frustrating to determine what to do next. Lemon Cake
A little more guidance or improved level design could alleviate this issue. Beyond Sunset is a cyberpunk gem that captures the essence of old-school first-person shooters while infusing modern gameplay elements and a rich cyberpunk narrative. The game’s strengths lie in its gunplay, boss battles and possible mod support. However, it can be hampered by navigation difficulties and occasional confusion regarding objectives. With some improvements in these areas, Beyond Sunset could be a must-play title for fans of the genre.
The game’s lo-fi aesthetic, reminiscent of classic first-person shooters, is a nostalgic nod to the genre’s roots.
The synthwave soundtrack perfectly complements the cyberpunk atmosphere, immersing players in a retro-futuristic world. The graphics and design maintain the right balance between old-school charm and modern sensibilities. he EA package seems to be entirely different/new content, “Episode 1” is more of an impressive open-ended Deus Ex -style romp through a large complex city broken into some loading zones, you have a main objective, but it’s not a simple affair to get to it, so you’re just left to your own devices, walking the streets. Dungeons 4
talking to NPCs, finding information & side quests to gain access to new places which ultimately lead you to the main quest & ending EP1. Don’t want to oversell the Deus Ex comparison, don’t expect too many immsim style interactions, choices & mechanics, the core mechanics are closer to Doom Eternal & the combat consists of a lot of enemies weirdly teleporting into arenas where you fight– Which feels a bit conflicting with the overall setting & otherwise style of the game
Beyond Sunset is bloody brilliant. Love the 80s cyberpunk aesthetics, love the synthwave soundtrack
love the fast-paced street samurai combat, love the level design, love everything about it. On first chapter I recommend running around map, finding as many NPCs as possible that give you some side quests and trying to jump anywhere you can to discover secrets on map. I also like the thing that you don’t have typical GO HERE for next objective stuff so that even tho forced me a little to wander around it also allowed me to discover plenty of other stuff that you would miss if you would go straight for the main tasks. Good stuff. It’s like Deus Ex. Lillusion
but it trades the diversity of playstyles for an emphasis on DOOM-esque shooting, including double-jumps, dashes, and slides. I like it; alongside the fun gameplay, it has a depth to its story and storytelling that too many indie FPSes think is beneath them. beyond Sunset allows gamers to go on a surreal journey that dissolves the distinctions between the tangible and the spiritual. This artistically created game invites players to explore a world where the ordinary becomes extraordinary, providing an engrossing and thought-provoking experience. In “Beyond Sunset,

HOW TO CHANGE THE LANGUAGE OF ANY GAME
Check the in-game settings and see if you can change it there. If not, continue down below. You might have to try and use Google Translate to figure out the in-game menus.
– Steam Games –
A) Changing a video game’s language by editing .ini files can vary depending on the game you are trying to modify. However, here are some general steps you can follow:
-
-
- Find the game’s .ini file. This file is usually located in the game’s installation folder or in your documents folder.
- Open the .ini file using a text editor like Notepad or Notepad++.
- Look for a line that specifies the language of the game. This line may be labeled as “Language” or “Localization”, and it may have a two-letter code (such as “EN” for English, “FR” for French, etc.).
- Change the two-letter code to the code for your desired language. You can find a list of language codes online.
- Save the changes you made to the .ini file and close the text editor.
- Launch the game and verify that the language has been changed to your desired language.
-
It’s important to note that not all games will allow you to change the language by editing the .ini file. In some cases, you may need to use a third-party tool or modify other files in order to change the language. Also, modifying game files can potentially cause issues or errors with the game, so it’s always a good idea to make a backup of any files you plan to modify.
If not, look for a “language” or “account_name” text file that you can edit. (If not in the game folder, try C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ SteamEmu Saves\settings). Save and open the game again.

B) . Same steps as Steam games except instead of .ini files, look for .info files
If these steps don’t work, then the files for the language you are looking for might not be included. We only check for English here.
