Even though Goku (Super) has the ability to morph into Super Saiyan Blue Goku, it still counts as one of the 182 on its own because that number contains a lot of special forms. However, there are still some fantastic, surprising choices and infrequently encountered movie characters like Turles (essentially Evil Goku), anime filler-arc fighters like Garlic Jr., and even representatives from the ill-fated non-canon sequel GT like Baby, an extraterrestrial parasite that briefly inhabits Vegeta. Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super (covering the major four arcs and canon films from Z, and just the later Future Trunks / Tournament of Power Arcs from Super) allow you to take on one of eight combatants in the story mode. These don’t apply to everything outside of Goku (Gohan begins at the Cell saga, and some characters only make brief appearances). If you’ve watched the show or played the games before, you know what to anticipate, but Sparking! What-if possibilities are included in Zero’s perspective rather than stiff retellings, which makes it sparkle.
