Keep an eye out for bugs. Catch them with your tongue and equip them to gain a variety of bonuses… you are a Frog after all. Find weapons and choose upgrade paths to suit them to a variety of playstyles, and use spells to heal and zap, burn, explode… any enemy in your path. Enjoy a weird and winding world, finding upgrades and abilities, to push further and reset the balance after Runi messed it all up. Starts off a bit slow but once you get some more abilities and weapons it starts to pick up.
Challenging Mini-Arena Encounters
There are some challenging areas where you get locked into fighting a few waves of enemies, like a mini-arena. The boss fights are the hardest part of the game and can take many attempts to learn to overcome. It can be fairly demanding on your reaction speed and requires you to consistently time your dodges properly. Bosses feel very well balanced if you like hard bosses and have been one of the highlights of the game for me. The game is pretty light on the metroidvania aspect despite marketing itself as one. The Walking Dead: Michonne
You get a few traversal abilities and there is ability-gated backtracking but when you get a new ability there are only a few places to go back and use them. There’s also some ‘key and door’ gating although progression is more blocked by the bosses which will take up the bulk of your playing time. The game has a world map but not individual area maps. Areas are pretty small with just a few branching paths, so I didn’t feel I needed a map to maintain my bearings.
Soundtrack Repetition and Boss Tunes
The soundtrack could be better though. It’s quite repetitive and quite noticeable, and often doesn’t change, even for bigger fights or bosses. Frogmonster particularly shines is in its enemy design. Every boss is unique and fun, and every enemy feels like they have a purpose. Back to soundtracks, it would have been nice if bosses had their own tunes. Kind of jarring to have exploration music continue into a cool boss fight. The parkour in this game also feels really good. The weapon upgrade dungeon was quite fun, especially the “tongue grabs wall” mechanic. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
However, movement seems to be unreliable during fights often. Something with the dash physics? Each of the areas are gorgeous and colorful. Very challenging and unique bosses…some of my favorite fights out of other games I’ve played! I love the variety of enemies too. The exploration part makes the game even more fun. You get to catch bugs and create a customized build which makes for an exciting and varied play through. The game definitely picks up later when you can get upgrades and have more areas to explore.
Frogmonster Constant Addition of Useful Mechanics
Every detail of the world (and it’s surprisingly deep!) feels handcrafted with lots of love and intention, making the exploration aspect very enjoyable. The upgrades and custom “loadout” system feel refreshingly unique and actually impactful. I frequently find myself revisiting my loadout when I’m struggling with a boss or an area. Every boss provides a different kind of challenge. It’s not too often these days you find yourself forced to use new strategies for every boss, but Frogmonster is good at pushing me out of my comfort zone as soon as it feels like I’ve established a universal strategy.
The constant addition of new mechanics (that all are useful in their own way) definitely helps with this. Many bosses have diverse mechanics that can be easier or harder depending on if you want to design a build against it. The custom voxel engine also enables some very unique and memorable moments even late in the game. I was able to play through before release – expect a really solid runtime from this game, there’s a lot to see! Turok 3: Shadow of Oblivion Remastered

HOW TO CHANGE THE LANGUAGE OF A ANY GAME
1. Check the in-game settings and see if you can change it there. If not, continue down below. You might have to try and use Google Translate to figure out the in-game menus.
– Steam Games –
2a. Look for an .ini file in the game folder or subfolders. Could be called something like steam_emu.ini, steamconfig.ini, etc., but check all the .ini files. There should be a line for language/nickname that you can edit in notepad. If not, look for a “language” or “account_name” text file that you can edit. (If not in the game folder, try C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ SteamEmu Saves\settings). Save and open the game again.
– GOG Games –
2b. Same steps as Steam games except instead of .ini files, look for .info files
If these steps don’t work, then the files for the language you are looking for might not be included. We only check for English here.
