The graphics also help build on the retro vibe, and I think those fond of early PlayStation games will feel nostalgic enjoying a similar visual style in Grandpa High on Retro. The game-play admittedly has a few bugs and quirks. Though I also believe that these issues actually build on the retro vibes, and help to make Grandpa High on Retro feel more like an early PlayStation game. Short but AWESOME Quite short but I liked what I played. The game can be beaten under an hour and I would really recommend getting it on a very good sale as standard price is way too much for what you are getting in terms of content. I do however want to see Grandpa return again in the future in a more fully fleshed out game with more levels, cutscenes and weapons as I really think this a good concept. on the other hand how can you have 44 FPS on a “pixel” game. We can’t adjust the sensitivity or the music, there’s still some work to do but I really liked it! then I think that you will definitely enjoy Grandpa High on Retro as it is. This is one of those gems that perfectly blends quirky humor, retro graphics, wild animation, and old game play just like the old times. I will give an updated review after finishing the game, but so far is really good! Campaign Grandpa will have a visually stunning retro third-person action-adventure campaign that will keep you on the edge of your seat, with semi open linear level environments with very good world-building and storytelling.

Grandpa High on Retro is a fairly straightforward FPS game in which you play as Grandpa, along with his grandson Charlie to shoot up plainclothes policemen and infiltrate a secret underground base. Grandpa has kept himself in great shape as he has an impressive vertical leap, a dodge roll, a running kick and a three-hit combo. Of course, it’s not an FPS without the S and the guns at your disposal work decently – I never was able to make the shotgun work for me even at close range but the pistol/revolver works fine even though you can only pick one or the other. Driving Around 

Grenades are a similar matter where they work great if they land where intended, but it has to be exact for the splash damage to hit anything. The respawn system is unique in that any enemies you already killed stay dead, making progressing easier overall. The enemy behavior is fascinating in that they will commonly stand and shoot at you, but other times will run away in a random direction that makes them very difficult to pin down with anything other than the automatic rifle. It’s a decent game, I enjoyed my time with it!

What a hidden gem, I had a lot of fun with the story and the Max Payne / GTA vibes. I would be interested in an expansion with an endless mode or a horde mode. Fun little game. Not much depth, but good enough for laughs. Played through in a little over an hour. Ran great in the beginning, but after the drugstore, it gets rough. I didn’t really mind it for this game though, with the way it plays. Still, more frames would be preferable, and would appeal to more folks. All in all, you get what you pay for. I am happy with the purchase and wouldn’t mind seeing more of this from the developer. Los Pingheros

Explore the world You can go deep into the history of the neighborhood and characters. Now first off I want to say that there are some bugs that have been mentioned already. Entering the drug store starts multiple cut scenes and skips some content which was a bit of bummer. The health packs also barley make a dent and don’t really help especially if you are super low on health. The biggest issue I have is when you get shot, you jerk and almost end up aiming at the sky making it super difficult to fire back. Overall the game is funny as hell and the humor is amazing and does not disappoint.
