you can choose the colors of your slime, and later on, you can choose between different weapon types as well as different hats. The hats will get the color of your slime, which is an interesting choice. I might have liked it a little more if the hats had a standard color, or you could choose a different color for the hat you’re wearing versus the color of your slime. But it makes sense for a slime just to take on the form of the hat. Slime Heroes is a cute open-world action-adventure game. It reminds me a lot of the earlier Zelda games (I haven’t played a new one since Zelda on the Wii). There is this enormous world map where some parts are locked at the start but open up with the new abilities you unlock.
The spell combination gimmick is really fun and the combat is quite fluid.
It’s still pretty buggy, which is to be expected, but I found myself having to use the unstuck option more than I’d like. Also, no option to change movement keybinds on k&m. I play on AZERTY, and having to switch every time is pretty annoying. Very cute game for young and old to play together. It’s very kid friendly, to get familiar to the Souls-like gameplay. Has a cute story done by a good voice actor almost sounds like a fairy tale or bedtime story. Buttons layout are easy to understand for starter gamers. Playing co-op is very fun and easy to join each other. You are bringing your slime to their world with everything you unlocked. Or you can create a new second slime. kids friendly Fantasy story with guardian gods. introduction to Souls game style changeable difficulty a lot of different combinations for abilities. voice actors and storytelling is very impressive. make your own slime replay ability with different builds good amount of playtime, not too long, not too short. hidden secrets to find. There are also a bunch of dungeons, there are dungeons which are an arena in which you fight enemies, there are puzzle dungeons, and there is a dungeon for each boss to fight a harder version of it but which unlocks a new ability.

really enjoy this game! The fighting mechanics are cool and I like all the combinations of attacks that you can use and build. It definitely makes the combat more satisfying. The pacing is good and you can easily get really hooked into the game. It’s quick to pick up and engaging as you continue to play and interact with the map. I like the overall look of the game with its cozy and mystical feel. The slimes are cute and I like that you can customize them. The co-op adds a lot to the game as well and made the overall experience more fun to play. I’m early on but already hooked and excited to keep playing!!!

Exploring the map becomes more open as you progress. Story is straight forward; bugs are small and regularly removed in updates. There are multiple ways to solve puzzles, adjust difficulty, and enjoy combat. Could use more frog. Looking forward to updates. I’m loving Slime Heroes – the slimes and characters are SO adorable and the world is fun to explore with cheerful colors and environments. The game is charming, challenging and just enjoyable to be in. I’ve been mixing the different skills to see what combos I like using best and am excited to collect them all. so if you’re more of a casual player (like me) you can still have a challenge battling the enemies and bosses but it doesn’t feel frustrating and impossible. There are several elements that make it a souls-like/ souls-lite but it’s a more approachable take on the genre that I prefer. Each area also has secret passageways or alcoves with hidden hats, but it’s a fine balance between exploring all the nooks and falling off a ledge or running into a really strong enemy, so watch out! I generally like cute action games with a charming or cozy storyline and the ability to play co-op, and this game checks all the boxes. I did have some minor bugs pop up and occasional lagging when there were a lot of enemies.
