New and returning players will enjoy Star Wars: Dark Forces Remaster’s upgraded gameplay, high-resolution textures, enhanced lighting and rendering, and support for gamepads. The original 1995 Star Wars: Dark Forces raised the bar for FPS games, offering players a significant degree of movement and interactivity, a large selection of items and power-ups, and engaging environments.
In the first Star Wars FPS video game, players assume the role of Kyle Katarn, a defector of the Galactic Empire turned mercenary for hire.
Katarn joins the Rebel Alliance’s covert operations division tasked with infiltrating the Galactic Empire, where he discovers the secret Dark Trooper Project. The development of this powerful new series of Imperial battle droids and power-armored stormtroopers stands to strengthen the Empire’s grip on the galaxy unless Katarn and the Rebel Alliance intervene. All fourteen original levels, featuring Star Wars worlds and capital ships Use your ability to jump, duck. Vader Immortal: A Star Wars VR Series

For combat, the player may use fists, explosive landmines and thermal detonators, as well as blasters and other ranged weapons stunned at how great the game looks in this. From the re-rendered cutscenes, the higher resolutions, real 3D environments, updated controls, higher framerates and more…it really just takes the playing experience to the next level. There is bonus content included that is cool to look at such as concept art, game dev info, cutscene development. Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Classic 2005
pre-rendered images, and even a bonus level that was like a demo mission to showcase the original game. A few key options that were paramount for me enjoying this game to the full potential were the option to turn off ‘head bobbing’ and the ability to have ‘free mouse look’ since the original required you to use page up/page down to look up and down. I’m a huge Star Wars fan, as well as a fan of remastered videogames Includes immersive environmental puzzles and mazes.
The definitive way to play this Classic, would be to port the absolutely beautiful Texture work, and Cutscenes from this Remaster
add it as a Mod to The Force Engine, which plays better. While you’re at it, there’s a wonderful Remaster of the OST done by Richard Barrett Jr on YouTube, Mod that in too, and then you’ll have the definitive version of Dark Forces. Until then, I would still recommend this Remaster, just not for the current price. I’m glad this Remaster exists, I’m just a little disappointed it didn’t live up to my expectations, and sadly still think The Force Engine is better experience overall. Star Wars Battlefront
Dark Forces finally gets the Nightdive remaster treatment it deserves and looks and plays better than ever. You can tell a lot of love and care was put into this, and you can even switch back to the old visuals on the fly if you prefer! If you enjoy old boomer shooters or Star Wars (especially pre Disney acquisition) then give this a go! Kyle Katarn is a badass and this leads into the really great Jedi Knight/Academy games.

HOW TO CHANGE THE LANGUAGE OF ANY GAME
1. Check the in-game settings and see if you can change it there. If not, continue down below. You might have to try and use Google Translate to figure out the in-game menus.
– Steam Games –
2a. Look for an .ini file in the game folder or subfolders. Could be called something like steam_emu.ini, steamconfig.ini, etc., but check all the .ini files. There should be a line for language/nickname that you can edit in notepad. If not, look for a “language” or “account_name” text file that you can edit. (If not in the game folder, try C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ SteamEmu Saves\settings). Save and open the game again.
– GOG Games –
2b. Same steps as Steam games except instead of .ini files, look for .info files
If these steps don’t work, then the files for the language you are looking for might not be included. We only check for English here.
