I also want to highlight the art of the game as well. It looks very good with it’s unique, kinda comfy art style. Whatever it be trough the characters you see in-game or the cut scenes. It’s really endearing with the amount of love and passion that is very clear to see. Not to mention that the music throughout the entire game is simply iconic and suits the game very well.

The Glitch Fairy is a game that has been in development for more than 7 years by a 2 person dev team. lays like a mixture of Mega Man X, Shantae and SotN with its own unique twists with great art, funny writing and fun characters. Nice balance of exploration, puzzles, fighting and platforming. It has an interesting artstyle that would lead you believe this would be a very light whimsical game but you would come to find out through in game secrets that the game has dark undertones. I recommend this game to fans of hard old school platformers.

One last thing in particular I want to mention is that the difficulty is fair, but takes no punches at all the further you progress. Even in the early game, it also keeps you on you’re toes in the best way possible. The difficulty curve rises very slow but steady. And by the end you will notice it.
