It is WW1 so its an attrition game, but you can still cap the enemy even though its difficult. Once you get some specific technologies it makes easier, but then the enemy could research tech to counter that. That is a really amazing part of the game is how the tech reshapes your strategy. Do you aim for tanks or do you get bombers? If enemy gets gas shells should I put my points into gas masks as a counter?

All in all it’s a solid WW1 strategy game. It’s a fine RTS game with active pause and different gameplay speeds – perfect for older players. Really like how close it gets to the terrible reality of WW1 warfare.

Great game, Total War WW1, something ive wanted since playing Total War fall of the samurai. The foundation here is fantastic, but there are tweaks and adjustments needed very badly. Extremely simple stuff like just tweaking the values of some numbers here and there in the code. As is its still great but can be frustrating until you learn to work around some stuff. Luckily the Devs have already addressed many of my issues. *needs mod support Solid large scale battles Awesome defense mechanics, building your trenches, mg/mortar emplacements, and barbed wire are awesome and fun to experimen
