I’ve always heard it was the better Sims 4 and I can definitely say I see where that view is coming from. The only bug I encountered was that every time my cat was offered to go commercial in his showbiz career the outcome of going commercial or turning it down has caused it to crash so I’ve just chose to press the ignore button when it pops that up. Its pretty much the Ultimate edition that was free on origin years ago. its really debatable at the moment on its worth the current asking price but if you pick it up on sale and/or want the Sims 2 experience without having to use origin you’ll probably enjoy this. As someone who already owned The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection—originally given away for free around 2012-2013 before it was removed from stores—I can confidently say that while that version included the IKEA pack, it still required extensive mods and fixes to be fully playable on modern systems. Furthermore, it was exclusively available on the EA App, which limited accessibility for many players. The new release eliminates these issues, providing a much more seamless experience. The Sims 2 is where my gaming journey started and for this to be re-released, its the best thing ever.

The amount of dopamine i’m receiving from the pure nostalgia and how detailed the game play is compared to the sims 4 is enough to make paying for the legacy collection worth it for me. In saying that i haven’t experienced any lag, bugs or crashes in the 6ish hours I’ve been playing for unlike other players 🙁 I really hope the sims team can continue to work on this game so it can be playable to everyone.

HOW TO CHANGE THE LANGUAGE OF A ANY GAME
1. Check the in-game settings and see if you can change it there. If not, continue down below. You might have to try and use Google Translate to figure out the in-game menus.

2a. Look for an .ini file in the game folder or subfolders. Could be called something like steam_emu.ini, steamconfig.ini, etc., but check all the .ini files. There should be a line for language/nickname that you can edit in notepad. If not, look for a “language” or “account_name” text file that you can edit. (If not in the game folder, try C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ SteamEmu Saves\settings). Save and open the game again.
