This comes from a huge Kunio-kun guy who knew next to nothing about Umamusume, but this game is essentially a different take on Downtown Nekketsu March: Super Awesome Field Day for the Famicom (+ it’s two remakes on the DS & PS3 respectively). You pick a team and compete against 3 other teams in a series of minigames that take sports to more of an extreme.

Which team will run, shoot, and eat their way to gold and glory? Umamusume: Pretty Derby – Party Dash is an absolute gift for horse girl fans everywhere. The game isn’t without fault, though, and there’s some technical issues and slightly underbaked gameplay, but fans will probably come galloping anyway. Three out of the four events are drawn from previous Kunio games with racing coming from Field Day’s cross country event. Super Lesbian Animal RPG
dodgeball coming from the 4 player beanball mode in the Famicom version of Nekketsu High School Dodgeball Club (Super Dodge Ball on the NES), and basketball coming from Nekketsu Street Basketball All-Out Dunk Heroes. The eating contest is an original event. While these are all simplified and are less violent than their Kunio counterparts, I think they offer an interesting spin on these and overall were pretty fun. Featuring 25 Playable Pixel-Art Umamusume!
Each team consists of 5 Umamusume, and a total of 4 teams have their eyes on the gold at the Slapdash Grand Prix!
Play the game to unlock up to a total of 25 playable Umamusume, and not even counting the curious onlookers scattered across the stages! Challenge a Frenzy of Racers in 4 Different Fan Fest Events! The Grand Prix is made up of 4 events: Hurtling Hurdles, Blazing Baskets, Dodgeball Demolition, and Gourmet Gauntlet. Select an Umamusume from your team for each event and aim for the gold, but be prepared for some wacky rules and hijinks! Weird RPG
Content Galore for One Player or More! In addition to the story mode that explores each team’s unique cast, you can also decorate with your favorite furniture and invite your Umamusume roster to hang out in the clubroom. After that, they can play matches in both local play or online play! The Umamusume are sure to keep your heart racing whether in Single or Multiplayer! Embark on a Grand Adventure with Gold Ship! Run to the ends of the earth and beyond in this single-player roguelike mode where you play as Gold Ship.
Umamusume who sets out on a perilous journey to rescue her friend from hordes of evil robots.
Wield water guns, dodgeballs, and other weapons in your unique arsenal to survive as long as possible. The farther you go, the stronger the enemies you’ll face, but the higher your chances of finding rare loot! The game is SUPER fun, Hurtling Hurdles being my favorite since it resembles the core of the anime: racing. Basketball has to be the most hype I’ve been over a basketball game since the mechanics are really good as well. Dodgeball and the Eating minigames are kindaaaa…Stone Story RPG
whatever. It’s hit or miss. But overall, the game is enjoyable as well as the rougelike game you can get by buying the game console. Story is worth it too and the voice acting goes hard. The problems are that there’s… nothing else to the game. It’s just four minigames and four teams (which more TEAMS will be coming later but… ugh). There needs to be more content for a game that’s almost fifty dollars. The racing courses have no diversity, which sucks even more

HOW TO CHANGE THE LANGUAGE OF ANY GAME
1. Check the in-game settings and see if you can change it there. If not, continue down below. You might have to try and use Google Translate to figure out the in-game menus.
– Steam Games –
2a. Look for an .ini file in the game folder or subfolders. Could be called something like steam_emu.ini, steamconfig.ini, etc., but check all the .ini files. There should be a line for language/nickname that you can edit in notepad. If not, look for a “language” or “account_name” text file that you can edit. (If not in the game folder, try C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ SteamEmu Saves\settings). Save and open the game again.
– GOG Games –
2b. Same steps as Steam games except instead of .ini files, look for .info files
If these steps don’t work, then the files for the language you are looking for might not be included. We only check for English here.
