You play cards with energy. What’s different compared to many other roguelikes is that there are three elements – Fire, Water, and Nature. Cards are either non-elemental or elemental. This goes for shields and attacks as well which means: If you deal 10 fire damage and the enemy has a water shield, you will only do 50% damage. If you deal 10 fire damage and the enemy has a nature shield, you will deal 200% of the damage to the shield. Attacks that immediately deal damage to the HP don’t differ.
When you choose to play a particular card can be just as important as which card you play.
Cards in Elemental Exiles have additional effects that only trigger when certain conditions are met – such as being the first card played on your turn, or being played immediately after another card of a specific element. Whether or not you manage to trigger these extra conditional effects can be the difference between victory and defeat, so be sure to keep possible synergies in mind when choosing new cards for your deck. Each of these has a corresponding strength and weakness – for example, Fire actions are strong against Nature and weak against Water. Naturally certain enemies and bosses also favor a particular element, so while your Fire deck might crush a group of tree spirits while travelling through a forest, it’s going to struggle against a hoard of angry water elementals you encounter while walking along the coast… Will you try to specialize in one element to increase synergy?

Relax and Stock Up at Inns: There are 14 unique inns hidden throughout the world, allowing you to spend your hard earned gold on new cards, items and blessings.

HOW TO CHANGE THE LANGUAGE OF ANY GAME
1. Check the in-game settings and see if you can change it there. If not, continue down below. You might have to try and use Google Translate to figure out the in-game menus.

2a. Look for an .ini file in the game folder or subfolders. Could be called something like steam_emu.ini, steamconfig.ini, etc., but check all the .ini files. There should be a line for language/nickname that you can edit in notepad. If not, look for a “language” or “account_name” text file that you can edit. (If not in the game folder, try C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\ SteamEmu Saves\settings). Save and open the game again.
